School Services

Our company has an established reputation for electrical engineering services but over the last few years we have gained particular expertise in the many aspects of school projects. We have carried out a variety of electrical services at numerous schools in Middlesex, Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire. All our staff are fully qualified, hold current DBS certification and have experience working in educational environments.

Installation and Maintenance Services
SPE prides itself on the professionalism of our operatives, we are happy to discuss any requirement from an additional socket to major lighting upgrades. Installation work is efficiently carried out, fully tested and certificated upon completion.

We also provide proactive cover to several insurance assessor companies which mainly involves “first on scene” attendance to fire, water and vandalism damage relating to electrical installations. This type of work enables us to maintain small works cover meaning we are able to attend problems quickly and react to those problems in a cost-effective manner.

Electrical Engineering
We have a good deal of experience in upgrading electrical supplies, we have worked closely with SSE and UK Power Networks fitting large electrical supplies in London United Bus Depots, Brentford Football Club and various commercial properties. We can undertake the design, planning and implementation of any supply upgrades you may require.

Energy Monitoring
This is a service we have invested heavily in and I think it can prove particularly useful for school premises. We can monitor the electrical capacity of your supply giving you an accurate idea of exactly how much energy is used at any particular time. We can accurately map your electrical use and give advice on balancing your consumption across phases to ensure you use your electrical supply to its optimum efficiency. This technology is the only accurate way to work out how near to capacity a supply is at peak times and how best to avoid possible loss of power whilst optimising value for money.

Periodic Testing
We have many years’ experience in providing Electrical Installation Condition Reports for large sites. We can implement a full Test and Inspection or you may choose to stage the process over a number of years meaning the costs can be spread but each part of the installation still benefits from attention once in every five years. We have a great deal of experience in a gradual and cost-efficient process of upgrading installations to meet current standards.

Energy Efficiency
SPE are an MCS Accredited installer of Solar Panels, we are also experienced in the retro-installation of LED lighting. We have been involved in the installation of Voltage Optimisation Systems to larger premises which has resulted in significant reduction of energy costs.
